Jose Gomez is a second year MBA candidate at The Wharton School, majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship and pursuing a joint degree of Masters in International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Last summer Jose interned at City Light, a cleantech-focused venture capital fund, and at the X Prize Foundation in Los Angeles. Prior to Wharton, Jose worked for IBERDROLA, one of world’s largest cleantech energy utilities, as a Country Manager in Eastern Europe where he launched and grew business by 9x, established relationships with governments, local utilities and European Commission, ran business development and strategy and managed a diverse portfolio of engineering and consulting projects. Jose started his career in Iberdrola Ingenieria where he analyzed investments in power plants and managed online business development. Since 2006, Jose was Founder and CEO of Inter Business Solutions, an international consulting firm that provided services such as search of partners and customers, new products introduction and marketing strategy to mid-sized investors and companies entering Eastern European market, with a focus in energy investments. He is co-chair of Wharton Entrepreneurship Conference, Director of cleantech industry at the Entrepreneurship Club and is focusing his master’s thesis on the interaction of alternative energy, smartgrid and electric vehicles. Jose received an MS in Industrial Engineering by Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Spain.

Mukul Chauhan is a member of Wharton MBA Class of 2010 majoring in Finance and Strategic Management. Before coming to Wharton Mukul worked with Silicon Valley startups building equipments for Telecommunication Networks and Data Centers. His company ObjectMart was acquired by ONI Systems which went public in 2000 and was subsequently acquired by Ciena. More recently his company Nuova Systems was acquired by Cisco. At Cisco Mukul was managing their next generation Data Center Management solutions. He holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science. He enjoys applying technology to provide innovative solutions.

Roman Rariy

Roman received his PhD in Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia), conducted research at INSERM (France), completed post-doctoral training at M.I.T. and, later, transitioned to Gillette Corporate R&D. Consequently, Roman joined the newly-formed Collegium Pharmaceutical as its first full-time employee. By helping to build the company from the ground-up alongside the founders, Roman was able to contribute to and gain a great deal of expertise in virtually all aspects of pharmaceutical product development and commercialization. In addition to being a co-Chair of the Wharton Entrepreneurship Conference, Roman is a co-President of the Wharton Entrepreneurship Club. Roman is a second year Wharton MBA student and is actively seeking opportunities in the biotechnology space. Roman is looking to either join the founding team of a biotech company or a Venture Capital fund that invests in cutting-edge companies. Nicole Schumacher worked in product management at Hallmark Cards, Inc. in the Party Express and Social Expression businesses. Creating new-to-market “green” card lines and helping to launch the Hallmark PRODUCT(RED) campaign, in which a portion of profits go to fight AIDS in Africa, reaffirmed Nicole’s passion for the social impact for-profit businesses can have. Nicole plans to work in social entrepreneurship after receiving her MBA in Management from The Wharton School. Nicole holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Journalism from The University of Kansas.

He went on to spend 3 years at Milestone specializing in finance and operational stabilization, re-engineering and integration, and project management. After experiencing daily dynamic challenges of building a business at Milestone, Tom discovered his passion for entrepreneurship, and is currently pursuing his MBA at Wharton (WG, ’11) with a focus on Finance and Entrepreneurial Management. Gayle left Google to be the VP of Engineering of Keenscreen, a small startup in online advertising. She is also the founder and CEO of two companies. The first company, CareerCup.com, provides technical interview prep for engineers. The second company, Seattle Anti-Freeze, organizes social and athletic activities for young professionals.

After receiving her BA in International Relations and Economics, Marina took on a challenge of joining the technology industry. Her ability to learn on the fly allowed her to become Software Implementation Consultant at Model N, guiding life sciences clients in the implementation of revenue management software. Later, Marina's passion for online technology led her to join eLuxury.com as a Business Analyst in the Internal Business Development department. Bringing her experience and lively personality to Wharton in a pursuit of an MBA with the focus on Online Technology and Entrepreneurship, she became actively involved in Entrepreneurship Club, Technology Club as well as the Wharton Business Plan Competition Committee. Marina is looking to dive into the world of entrepreneurship by joining an early stage internet start-up for her summer internship.

Sudhir is currently pursuing an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Most recently, Sudhir worked in the Private Equity group at D.E. Shaw & Co. in New Delhi, India, where he originated, negotiated and executed growth capital investments. Previously, Sudhir spent four years at UBS AG in asset management where he managed approximately $5.0 billion in credit focused investments for the hedge fund of funds group. Sudhir started his career as an investment banking analyst in the Restructuring Advisory Group at UBS Warburg where he spent three years advising both creditors and debtors on financial restructurings. Sudhir graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.

He then joined Triad Isotopes, the largest independent nuclear pharmacy network as the senior director of business development. Jay plans on building a health care services business after graduating from Wharton.
